F U ZUNE

Today my brand new Zune died, for no reason what-so-ever. I am really mad about it so I mad this drawing to express my anger. Its a big rip off of Nathan Stapley. I have been reading a lot of his comics on Double Fine today. Speaking of which (or typing) I just realized today that I really want to work at Double Fine. It seems like a totally awesome place to work, and its in the state of california so maybe, just maybe I might be able to hook something up later. This summer though I am trying to get into that Blizzard intern program. I still have to get everything organized but I think I'll be done in time. I am trying to work harder on my portfolio. Im trying to do 2 projects a month now, but that probably will not be enough. In art class last friday I had a sub who was a pretty neat guy. He is a freelance illustrator who wants to be a concept artist (like me!) and I spoke with him for a long time, trying to learn as much as I could. If you read this, shout out to you, Frank! I still need to find an internship for my class, Im going to call one more person this week, and if they say no, im screwed! Wish me luck.

Its February 4, 2008, and life is alright at the moment. I applied to Laguna College of art, I got a new mp3 player, and life is decent I guess. I am going to a workshop every Saturday, at Laguna, and I am getting some decent drawings in.
I have to work on my self portraits more, I am getting a little lazy.
Right now I am doing another Team Fortress 2 drawing, The Sniper. I like it so far, but the face is hard to get right. I also am trying to add somesort of background, because I am really bad at them. Hopefully this picture will look better then the last one (which I kind of liked)

Super Birthday Extravaganza

I gave up on my heavy drawing. Ill try and do a better tf2 guy soon, but more importantly YESTERDAY WAS MY BIRTHDAY! I am now a man. 18 years old, but it sure doesn't feel like it. My birthday was good, I got a new video card and some hellboy comics so it was pretty dang sweet! I sent some emails to 2 game developer studios (blizzard and nexus ent) still no word but I am not that worried. (for now at least) I really hope I get a reply soon. I don't know if I said this already but my new years resolution is to get things done on time and to be more productive. If I write it out here it might help it stick. I dunno we shall see.
