here is some black and white thumbs that i have come up with for some basic ideas about what this stuff could be.

the first two and the last two are supposed to kinda go together.

 

 

Color Studys

Done for school. Pretty much just a master copy, but the focus being on getting the colors correct, not so much worrying about detail.

also I am back! Washington was fun! I managed to find a decently rare (as far as i know) book in a used book store, Figure Drawing for All its Worth by Andrew Loomis! Im almost done reading it. Totally made the trip for me.

I know I haven't posted here in a while and I am sorry but I have been doing art! just at another place, The Daily Art Brigade A blog I started up with a few other people with just the idea that if you want to get better you should be doing work every day, and if you join, thats what you gotta do. anyways I figure I should at least post something I have been doing over the past few days so I dont totally forget about this place. I have been reading the comic book the goon lately and I really love it. some fantastic artwork and writing. Anyways when I saw the trailer for the upcoming film by BLUR I just couldnt stop myself from doing a drawing. Still in progress but I have been having fun making it so far.

School has finally ended, its summer time for me, so here is some stuff I have been doing.

A storyboard for my story boarding class. First time doing a storyboard like this.
It was a lot of work especially since I was stupid and did the whole thing in one day.



I had to do a project for my asian art history class and so I choose to do a drawing and an essay on a few yokai which are apart of Japanese folklore. This drawing is about a creature called a Kami-kiri which is a creature that eats/chops of peoples hair while they are not paying attention/sleeping. The idea was too freaky not to draw. Had some trouble with this one but its ok.

I hope to start on a project very soon so maybe I can post more about it if it goes anywhere. until then.. I'm OUT!
