My new work area is pretty much complete! here is a virtual tour!

here is a general shot of where I am right this very second. We have my drafting table on the left, where I keep my paints, brushes and drawing utensils, and on the right we have my new computer desk and chair, computer, printer/scanner and various chachkas.


facing the opposite direction of my work area we have my drum set. It hasn't seen as much use since I stopped taking lessons, hopefully i can afford to start again.

Here is a little closer shot of my drafting table. I has lots of scuffs and paint marks, despite that its still pretty smooth! its served me well. That mirror is there for when I do a self portrait, or when I feel like gazing into my beautiful eyes.

Close up shot of my computer! Its a very nice desk, lots of room. best part though, which unfortunately you can not see in this picture, is the cup holder! That's right i got a freakin cup holder to the right of my monitor! that's a sign of a quality desk. Also on top of my computer tower is the install disks X3, a space sim game. I really wanted to like it the first time I played it but I eventually gave up and deleted it. well now I am going to give it another shot, I hope I will like it!

To the left is some cards made by my good English friends, Rob Laro and Anneka Tran and a little Tiki God that I got a while ago. It shall bring me good luck.

This is a little collection of unique soda bottles I have put up. It originally started with The Leninade, which I kept because it was cool, I am slowly adding other bottles up there. Also there is a little bear head that I got for chirstmas from Anneka

Happy Birthday to me!

Its my birthday today! i am now 19 years old. this is very cool. I got a nice desk as a present and i am currently reorganizeing my work area and once its all set up i shall take pictures for your enjoyment! huzzah! maybe some art too? ok sure some art.

I am playing Okami and Odin Sphere for the ps2, both are very beautiful games for different reasons, but so far only Okami has really grabbed me. I think i need to spend more time with odin sphere to get into it.

I also bought the trades 5 and 6 of The Walking Dead. It has been a long time since i last read trade 4 so my mind is kinda fuzzy on everything that happened, but its slowly coming back to me. Very cool stuff.

that's pretty much all i got to say, shower me with compliments and poems about my greatness because its my birthday. peace yo.


P.S. My cat just pooped and it is really the worst smelling thing i have ever smelled ever.

Trouble in video game land

A lof of crazyness has been happening lately in the world of video games. First of all, 1up gets bought out by UGO. Lots of people lose their jobs. Big ass bummer, I just hope everyone lands on their feet, maybe form their own site or maybe the giant bomb crew could scoop up a few, that would be fantastic I think. No more podcasts for me, which is very very very very very sad, but not as sad as whats happened to these people. Best of luck dudes.

secondly there is some crazyness going on with bobs game. A dude named Bob wants to make a nintendo ds game, or actually, apparently he did make one, and is waiting for nintendo to approve his license, so he can get some dev kit software. Nintendo is not approving him, and so now hes having a 100 day protest.

no gamepad support, which sucks, and there is no way to tell what key does what, but at least its running! huzzah

I have been watching Firefly, the tv show, and its really really great. Its like science fiction and a western combined. awesommmmmmmmme

I started reading A Game of Thrones again. I kind stopped reading it a while ago for some reason. Its a good book and id like to finish it soon

Other then those things I have been doing lots of work for school. Its midterms this week so I am cramming right now. Lots of projects have to be finished, kinda hectic. Ill try and get some sketches and other more finished work up here when I get the chance to do so, I'm still tinkering with my scanner.

This post is about nothing.

Rumor has it that this is the cover art for the new mega man game, its dlc, which probably makes it fake, but if this was official capcom art for the game, that would be soo awesome. I like the idea of making and old style mega man game. i hope its good. i really like megaman music.

Tomorrow im going to see the Dark Knight! its going to be a regular theater, but ill definitely catch it again in imax, thats supposed to be amazing.

Ive been playing a lot of shootan games lately. of course TF2 as usual, but i have revisted STALKER, because i found out that the game has a lot of cool mods. Stalker was always a pretty fun game, but it felt unpolished. These mods helped fix a lot of stuff and added a lot of cool features, and the game is REALLY GOOD now. its really hard, but it way scarey, and it feels like a real surivor game. I love it.

I also started playing oblivion again. I deleted all my old files and i made a new character. Im trying to make him a super likeable, lucky merchant guy. I want him to be as nonviolent as possible so he is only strong in hand to hand combat, which is the weakest of all the combat styles. Oblivion is so great, and so is STALKER, which is why Fallout 3 is going to rock, because its like a combination of the two. Im super pumppped!!!!

uhh what else... I GOT ACCEPTED INTO COLLEGE YO!

i also got a 6000$ scholarship!

the forums were trolled today, a pretty poor one at that, dead people and shit porn? how about something original for once. I just dont know why it was done or how it was found. its pretty remote. oh well its all over and done with. Ill have a lot of Posemaniac stuff up tomorrow. i just have kinda been saving it up. Ive been playing way more tf2 then i should be but me and a friend have been practicing this thing called an uber train where you have 2 medics and you uber one and switch right after so you have constant uberage. its pretty fun and we are getting better at it. I watched a movie called Tekkon Kinkreet today. I really really liked it, although i personally think that my version of the ending would be so much better and would have made the movie one of my all time favorites.

fun fact: When im really tired, and its late like it is now i feel like him sitting 10,000 feet away from my computer, like my arms are really long and stuff. thats how i feel now. just thought you should know that.

Serious Business

Tomorrow I start getting into a regular schedule. I trying not to waste this summer, so I will be waking up every morning and going for a run, then when I get back home I'm going to spend most of the afternoon drawing and painting. I really want to be more productive, and I want to get better at art, so This is my chance to do just that. College is going to be really really expensive so I'm going to have to get a job. I am really hoping that the art gallery I am interning at will hire me. If not i could always try The Art Supply warehouse, that would be a good job I think, the only problem with that is I don't think they are hiring at the moment and im not sure I would get the job if they were anyways. Both the art gallery and the art supply warehouse are far away so that would be a big downside for me. There is a gamestop near my house, so I guess if it really came down to it I could work there, but I wouldnt really want too. Ive heard a lot of horror stories about working there. I have to get my drivers license as well. I dont know why I dont have it yet. I need to get it asap.

Im going to try and get at least a sketchbook page of drawings done a day, so I will post some sketches tomorrow, for sure! woo! time to sleep! goodnight blog world.

I cant draw at all!!! every drawing is turning out crap. This is really frustrating.

at least i did this.

I feel like I'm at an artistic impasse. I just cant get into my drawings, I'm realizing how horrible they all are, and I'm getting a bit frustrated. Hopefully I can get these crappy drawings out of my system and get back on my feet. ( I have been pretty sick lately so maybe i can blame my lack of artistic motivation on that :\ )

Sumo time!

Today was a day of learning. I started working on a drawing of E.Honda today, and while drawing I read about sumo wrestling on wikipedia. I discovered that sumo wrestling is awesome! I want to go see a sumo wrestling match some day. I also learned that video game pads can work for fps games. I played robg in tf2 today, he was trying to prove to me that game pads can work for fps games. I never thought they could, but we were tied the whole game! He also gave me a lot of great advice on art and life and stuff. I need to stop following what others are doing so closely, and worry more about me, follow my own artistic instincts, not other peoples.

any ways its pretty late, and its mothers day tomorrow and i havent done anything for her yet, so i gotta do something like that really soon. GOOD NIGHT
