here are a few scribbles that i did while doing the posemaniac 30 second drawing thing. First one i did as a ten second warm up, next i move up to 30 seconds and then on to one minute.
They are really really horrible and scribbly but hopefully ill get better as i do these.

here are just a few random craps from my sketchbook. lots of quick doodles, very little time spent developing any ideas, this is an example of how i am struggling. nothing seems to work, but i think things are getting better, i have a few more sketches that i want to post but its too dark right now to take a good photo of them so ill do it in the morning. I think ill start doing a daily posemaniacs thing to, because i work really slowly and i want to be able to get faster at drawing.

also i would just like to say thank you to Idiot Apathy aka Tom Scholes for the comment he posted. I don't know how you found my blog but Im happy you did. It was very encouraging to read that especially, from an artist i respect so much. My internet has been on and off lately so i havent been able to post the arts. I will tomorrow morning after my drawing class though!

I cant draw

I cant draw my art is getting worse and worse and worse and worse and worse and worse and worse and worse and worse and worse. I dont know what is wrong i have no creativity and my technical skills are doing down the shitter soo fast. Im really starting to freak out. I am drawing every day but everything is just SOOOOOOOOOOO BAD. This is the worst slump I have ever been in and i dont see myself getting out of it. Im wondering if art is really the thing for me. Its the only thing ive ever been interested in thoug, so im still going to try, but ive never realy doubted my artistic abilities this much until now. I just hope that when this passes i will be more motivated then ever before. I know i cant force it, but i just cant sit idley waiting for inspiration to hit me, i have to be activly drawing and trying to over come this.

Quick self portrait from life. I tried making it a bit more stylized, anddddd it sucks pretty hard. I have some sketchbook pages that I want to work on a bit more ill put them up tomorrow. I got a new headset today just for the new pyro update coming out. Looks like it will be super fun!

Serious Business

Tomorrow I start getting into a regular schedule. I trying not to waste this summer, so I will be waking up every morning and going for a run, then when I get back home I'm going to spend most of the afternoon drawing and painting. I really want to be more productive, and I want to get better at art, so This is my chance to do just that. College is going to be really really expensive so I'm going to have to get a job. I am really hoping that the art gallery I am interning at will hire me. If not i could always try The Art Supply warehouse, that would be a good job I think, the only problem with that is I don't think they are hiring at the moment and im not sure I would get the job if they were anyways. Both the art gallery and the art supply warehouse are far away so that would be a big downside for me. There is a gamestop near my house, so I guess if it really came down to it I could work there, but I wouldnt really want too. Ive heard a lot of horror stories about working there. I have to get my drivers license as well. I dont know why I dont have it yet. I need to get it asap.

Im going to try and get at least a sketchbook page of drawings done a day, so I will post some sketches tomorrow, for sure! woo! time to sleep! goodnight blog world.

GOOD DAY

Today was my last day of high school! It is finally over, and I for one can say, THANK GOD!
Now that school is over, I gotta get my nose to the grindstone. Drawing everyday! lets see hereeee, other than that, I got to sleep in late and go home early. I had some nice chocolate chip waffles for breakfast and a cup of tea. very delicious. I did pretty well in tf2 today, and a new Totally Rad Show is out! Huzzah! what a glorious day!

Sketchy Doodles

Here are a few sketchbook doodles I have done. This top one was an idea i had for an animation that got about 1/3rd done and then i gave up. It was about a Cop who had his brain transplanted into the body of a shark after he got shot and almost died. So he goes around fighting crime and what not. Just imagine robocop, but with a big shark. Maybe a mini comic would be more fitting for this idea of mine.



This is just a quick page where I was trying to redo some old Zelda characters. See if you can figure out who is who!

I cant draw at all!!! every drawing is turning out crap. This is really frustrating.

I feel like I'm at an artistic impasse. I just cant get into my drawings, I'm realizing how horrible they all are, and I'm getting a bit frustrated. Hopefully I can get these crappy drawings out of my system and get back on my feet. ( I have been pretty sick lately so maybe i can blame my lack of artistic motivation on that :\ )
